llms.txt is an emerging open standard (llmstxt.org) that places a plain-text Markdown file at the root of your site (/llms.txt) to guide large language models and AI crawlers. AI crawlers fetch llms.txt early in their crawl cycle to get a structured overview before reading individual pages. A site with llms.txt is easier to map accurately. Pages listed in llms.txt are more likely to be read in full and represented correctly in AI-generated summaries and citations.
